Tran Family Portraits // Navarre Family Photographer

    This was the very first photo session as a complete family of 5 for the Tran family. The beautiful children ranged from ages 1-3 and were quite the wiggly little ones. We had a workout chasing them around as they to escape our camera and the many poses we had planned for them.

    Sometimes as parents we have these grand ideas on what a photo session should be. And all the cutesy Pinterest photos we would like to recreate in our own special way. But kids always have their own ideas on what they want to do special toddlers. 

   My approach is this, let them be. They are kids and kids do kid things. They are supposed to wiggle, run, jump and be messy. And I will be right there to capture all the cute funnies in between. 

  For example these little ones really got a kick out of throwing all of the leaves up into the hair. To them it was the funniest thing they had ever seen in their life! And then they got their white shoes all dirty with the sand and grime when they were running through the leaves into the magical woods. 

   I think my favorite parts of the session were when they were snuggled up in mom and dad's arms. You could see how much they adore their parents. Also they loved when daddy threw them up in the air . I think they did pretty good for their first time being in front of the camera. I was so excited to rush home and start editing these photos because I truly felt "magic."  

   We got so many terrific photos with genuine interaction between the children and the parents. This is session is a good example of what a posed and unposed session looks like with little kids.  We these type of sessions are my favorite. 

  This session was really special to me for the fact that out of all the talented photographers in this area I was chosen to capture this family for the first time. I will always be grateful for this opportunity. - Jessica
